Work > Storefront in South Lake Union

Much of my new work concerns the rapid development that surrounds me in Seattle. They are also about the layers of geological history embedded in the land that I live on and in the water that surrounds me. Seattle is built upon unstable terrain - on at least two fault lines and the ring of fire. But the paintings can be read another way as well: the idea of unstable terrain and geological traces as metaphors for buried emotions and fading memories.
